what is jam & jest fest?

Jam & Jest Fest is a series of four festivals and each show will feature four different bands and Boston’s best comedians to entertain the crowd in between band sets. Additional show details, such as genre and performers, can be found at jamjestfest.com. 1,300 tickets are available for each show and the gates open at noon, the shows will run from 3pm-10pm.

when and where is the festival?

The Jam & Jest Fest series will take place on June 18th, July 9th, August 20th and September 17th and will be hosted at Oakholm Brewing Company’s spectacular amphitheater located at 80 Lake Road, Brookfield, MA 01506.

where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased at Eventbrite or follow the link on jamjestfest.com. Tickets are $35 for seven great acts!

is there free parking?

There is free parking on the Oakholm grounds, just follow the signs.

Can I bring my kids?

YES! They will love the animals, swings and tractor while parents enjoy their beer and entertainment!

Can I bring my pets?

No, this is for safety and comfort of our attendees.

How late can I arrive? what time do the gates close?

The gates will be open the entire festival!

what if it rains?

The shows are rain or shine. If sever weather is observed in the area, we will make announcements from stage including the severity of the storm, evacuation and/or event suspension procedures.

what can I bring to the festival?

Please bring your lawn chairs or blanket for this general admission festival. Central MA weather in the summer can range from 70 degrees and raining to over 90 degrees and humid. Be prepared with sunscreen, sunglasses and ranger. There are seven acts to enjoy!

What items are prohibited?

Due to local regulations, weapons, your own alcohol, and drones are not allowed. There will be plenty of food trucks on hand to tackle any cravings.

 

Professional audio and video equipment are prohibited, as is audio-capturing. Please be courteous when using your cell phone or non-professional camera (no detachable lenses) to take pictures and video. We encourage you to keep cell phone and camera use to a minimum as to not interfere with others’ experiences. Be present!

will there be a bag check?

Yes, to ensure everyone's safety.

what tips do you have for making it a fun day?

will atms be on the grounds?

No, all vendors will accept credit cards and cash.

Can I buy tickets at the door and do you take credit cards?

Yes, and yes!

will you have portable chargers?

No.

will you have merchandise for sale?

Some of the performers will be selling their own merchandise.

Can I go to the Oakholm Tap Room while I’m there?

Yes, you MUST have a wristband to enter Jam & Jest Fest.

Will tickets be mailed to me?

No, Eventbrite will send you an email with all the information you’ll need.

Where do I get my wristband? What proof do I need?

You must be 21+ to enter the beer garden and amphitheater. IDs will be checked at the entrance and 21+ wristbands will be issued. Cash and credit cards are accepted. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are also available. Beer garden hours are from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Is the Festival accessible to people with disabilities?

Yes. Handicap parking is available, follow the signs.

Do you allow service animals?

Jam & Jest Festival allows ADA* recognized service animals trained specifically to assist a person with disabilities at all events. Animals whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA and are not permitted at the festivals. If you have a certified service animal, you will be required to have your service animal with you at all times. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices.

*Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, the definition of “service animal” is limited to a dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability who is in attendance. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.

What are your health and safety protocols?

If you experience odd behavior or see something you know shouldn’t be somewhere, say something. Report suspicious behavior to any security and staff. All attendees are subject to bag checks and wanding. Safety is of the utmost importance to us.

Can I leave and come back?

Yes, please keep your wristband.

Will there be a First Aid Station?

If you need medical attention, there will be police officers at the festival to assist you.

Things to Know

1) All sales are final; no refunds or exchanges for any reason.

2) All artists, set times and stages are subject to change. All advertised acts have confirmed their appearance

at the Festival. However, acts are subject to change without notice and refunds will not be issued due to artist

cancellations.

3) Events take place rain or shine. If severe weather becomes a threat and we need to interrupt programming,

stage announcements will be made regarding safety procedures. Programming will resume when deemed

safe.

4) All persons, bags and personal items are subject to inspection before entering the event. Please review

accepted and prohibited items.

5) Any ticket holder that directly or indirectly interferes with the enjoyment of the event may be asked to leave

the venue and may be subject to arrest and prosecution by State/Local Authorities.

6) The event will continue to make every effort to ensure socially responsible behavior in order to allow ticket

holders to enjoy the event.
